Sacramento County Animal Control and Regulation Facility

Completed in September 2009, this 41, 000 SF Animal Control facility exceeded the County’s designated Silver LEED rating by achieving Gold.

The project features a stand alone spay/neuter clinic, an animal adoption center featuring dog and cat room environments, a “secure” public courtyard around which adoptable and stray cats and dogs are organized, an in-shelter Medical Center, a barn for farm animals and a 1 acre public dog park developed in association with the County’s Park and Recreation staff. Public art is integrated throughout the campus setting.
